Sweet and Unassuming

Let me begin by telling you that Doug and Cheryl Gabriel are personal friends now. I met them when they first came to Branson and have watched them grow and mature in the music business in Branson.

They are the sweetest couple you would ever want to meet. I am a tour director and met Doug in the lobby of the Lodge of the Ozarks when he was performing in the band at the Celebrity Theatre. We met quite by accident and became fast friends.

When he got the chance to open his own show, I told him I would bring my group to see him often. We still love Doug after all these years and my group consistently votes him as the best show we see when we are there.

My husband says that Cheryl is Branson's best kept secret. Her renditions of Patsy Cline are better than Patsy herself. She is gorgeous too.

If you have ever seen Doug, you know he is the very best in Branson. After many awards, he still remains so sweet and unassuming.

He knows that I love the song, "Hurt" and surprised me with it last Christmas. He moved me to tears. I have sent many, many other tour groups to his show and they all write and tell me how great he is.

Don't know why Nashville hasn't grabbed him, but hope they don't. He is a Bransonite true and blue. Doug has the warmest heart and especially has a fondness for his senior groups that visit his show.

If you haven't seen his show..........shame on you! You are in for a royal treat.
