My
Vote For Best Show Goes To Kirby
My name is
Ashley, I’m 14 years old and I know my opinion might not count, but
I choose to voice it! We stopped in Branson for 3 days, and 3 nights
total. In that sort period we had the privilege to see 4 different
shows, although the first three were very enjoyable the last one
surprised me, my mother, and my grandmother out of the water! This
spectacular show is the “The Kirby Van Burch Show”! Every time we go
to Branson now, I have to see that show again!
First
thing is the seating. I was surprised that everyone could see the
stage, because in most of the shows that I saw while I was in
Branson didn’t have enough elevation for me to see. I’m 5 feet tall
with and extra 9 inches and if I couldn’t see that was a problem.
But, Kirby pulled it of! And I understand that it is difficult to
find a suitable seat in the tenth row back but not everyone can
afford front row seats.
Music and atmosphere are defiantly good aspects in a show. Bambi and
Kirby had both of them. We could tell that they put a lot of effort
forward into how different tricks were executed and preformed to the
music. We could also tell that, they put a lot of effort into the
atmosphere of the building, because in the lobby there is allot of
old looking magic pictures and paintings. Also, they have the
drawing of Bambi that read-“Bambi ………. The woman who knows.” And it
felt like I took a step back in time and was in the era of the
beginning of “Reply’s believe it or not” and Houdini.
Comedy is another important aspect in a good quality show. Kirby and
Bambi had that too. Kirby made a joke here and there through out the
show and kept every one interested. The jokes that Kirby made
through out the show could not have been rehearsed backstage or over
the weekend. He was on top of his game trying to keep the audience
into the show. But, you couldn’t tell that he was trying to keep the
audience interested he just did.
A child’s interest was in Kirby’s show, because through out his show
he was very interactive with the kids the whole time. In the middle
of his show he would pick a kid from the audience to help him
perform a trick and after his trick he would give them a pass for
the rest of their life. Also, at the end of his show he would tell
everyone with a wand to help him land a helicopter and it was
amazing to see that he incorporated the whole audience into the last
and the best trick of the night!
Overall, I would vote Kirby’s show the best because he deserves it.
His show is truly one of the best shows in Branson. Him and his
wife, Bambi, worked extremely hard to make what their show is today.
And that is the reason I’m voting for “The Kirby Van Burch Show”.
