Bucky Heard is one of my favorite Branson singers. He is great in his show and he sings Gospel music with such Spirit that makes you want to listen to him for hours. I have not herd him sing with his band, The Horn Dawgs, but I have herd nothing but raves from those who have.

Though I have never seen Bucky sing in Branson, I am an old singing partner of his from way back. You've heard of Hope and Crosby? Well, call us Combs and Heard! Back in high school, I had sung with Bucky on several occasions, and God has blessed him with TREMENDOUS talent and a WONDERFUL voice! I would match his singing and performing talent against most folks I can think of, and am proud to be his friend! He deserves to win Best Singer!

Have you heard Mr. Heard? He is truly wonderful and that voice of his is an award winning one.The Horn Dawgs are awesome as well. I love the horns and love LIVE music.
they play every Saturday night at the "Ain't Misbehavin Theater down from the Winery and next tot he New Shangai theater. The place serves food like nachos, pizza, hamburgers and fries and the best beer this side of Table rock lake.
They play all kinds of music and the dance floor never gets cold-there is always some warm bodies shaking their booty's. The age range is from 21-100. I guess folks take a nap and then gear up for the Horn Dawgs.
Its a huge place and has 2 bars to serve you as well as a great wait staff.
Bucky is the greatest person ever and his smile never leaves his pretty face.

Aloha from Hawaii! My sister and I recently traveled to the mainland to visit a close friend in Spingfield. While there, she took us to almost every show in Branson. I'm blind, so atmosphere, costumes, set designs mean nothing to me. It's all about the music. When I listened to Bucky Heard's voice, I was just blown away. He is truly amazing. Through my friend, I was lucky enough to meet him, and he is warm, friendly, caring and just a wonderful person. His was the only show I insisted we go back to! And, he remembered me and dedicated a song to me. What a sweet, thoughtful thing to do. I know there is some sort of contest going on, and my vote would be for Bucky Heard as best singer, hands down.

The Horn Dawgs are the best band ever. Bucky Heard is the greatest singer ever. They play together at the Ain't Misbehavin" theater every Saturday night. You can also catch Bucky at Tsunami's every Friday night with his Retro Band. They play 70's and 80's stuff. Then Saturday he and the Dawgs rock out with all kinds of music. Both places are located down the street from each other near the Winery.

Years ago we went to Branson and wanted to hear more live music. We adventured on to the “Ain’t Misbehavin” theater around 10:30 and saw this amazingly talented band called the Horn Dawgs. They had been together forever or at least it sounded like it. The band has a very tight feel to it and the main singer Bucky Heard has this wonderful voice that proves why he is nominated for Best Singer. The dance floor is big enough to hold all those that feel like shaking their booty or do a little line dancing. They play all kinds of music from the 60,’s, 70’s, 80’ and 90’s. Its fun to watch folks get out and dance. You can usually tell those that had been in shows as they are the better dancers. It’s a great place to go and not to be missed on your next trip to town. They play from 10:30-1:00 every Saturday night.

Every Saturday night there is a place to party from 10:30-1:00am. The place is “Ain’t Misbehavin” and the band is the Horn Dawgs and the singer is Bucky Heard. OH MAN can that guy jam like no body else. His voice is so strong and always on perfect pitch. He sings “Shout” and the crowd goes wild. He can also sing some country, blues, swing, rock and rap. The band is made up of horn players from the Mickey Gilley show as well as the bass guitarist. The band has a wonderful sound and is live music at its best. The bartenders are great as well as the waitresses and the doorman. The cover charge is only $3 and the fun is priceless. Go see them if you can and Bucky - keep rocking. He is the best!

I couldn't wait to turn 21 so I could go see the "Horn Dawgs" at the Ain't Misbehavin" theater. It was everything I had imagined. I didn't know a lot of the songs that they played from the 60's but loved the stuff from this generation.
Bucky Heard rocks and even sang Happy Birthday to me on stage. What a gift this man has in his voice and looks.  I danced all night long and was even asked to dance by Dominic Haygood. I guess he hangs out there too. I will go back  for sure and will always remember my special 21st birthday. Bucky rocks and his voice is the best!

No weekend of fun can be without going to see the Horn Dawgs. They are the best bar band around.
They sound like the group "Chicago" and Bucky Heard sounds like a Ray Charles or Bill Medley.
They play requests and if they don't know the song one week then the next time you go there they will.
They are a crowd pleaser and will do whatever it takes to entertain you. You are their guest when you
step in the theater. It located near the Winery and next to the new Shangai Theater on Hwy 165.
Some of the other band members can sing and get to do so throughout the evening. Mainly Bucky
sings and he sings his heart out. He sings with feeling and passion and energy sometimes at the same time.He is the best singer I have ever heard.
They are truly a band NOT to miss.

When you go to Ain't Misbehavin" on Saturday nghts you just aren't going to a local bar
but also a place to eat nacho's, nacho's supreme, great french dip sandwiches and pizza.
On occasion they have other kinds of sandwiches. You will need your energy to dance once the
Horn Dawgs take to the stage. The Fischer boys are on trombone and trumpet, Jay is on sax, Andy Oberg is on piano although sometimes Scooter plays it too, Gary plays guitar, Mark on bass, Dino was the drummer when I was there he is good too. Bucky Heard is on vocals and is the best I have ever heard. The band plays all types of music and can play it well. The dance floor is in a horseshoe shaped area with the band in front. There are 2 bars to serve you anything you would like. I had the club soda with a lemon twist after ordering twice the bartender knew
what I liked and fixed it before I got up to the bar to order. They have a very nice wait staff as well.
Its a good time and everyone stays until it closes not because they have to but because they want to. This band and singer rules the night air.

I went to Branson for the first time and did the theme park ,wine tour, shopping thing. Then at 8 we saw the Legends show.
We were talking to Jake Blues and he told us he has a small band that plays every Saturday night from 10:30-1:00am. We went to the theater where they played and was truly entertained and even danced among the locals. By 11:00 this placed was packed and folks just went wild for them. Bucky Heard is truly a versatile singer and is not afraid to sing any genre of music. I noticed on Branson critic website there is a contest for the Best singer and that Bucky Heard is in the running. He has our vote.

There was a band at the Mardi Gras in Branson festival 2 years ago that performed and we later found out that they were the "Horn Dawgs". We enjoyed their portion of the festival a lot. We laid out on the grass and just listened to them jam. The lead singer (Bucky Heard) is fantabulous and has the greatest smile and stage presence and then there is his voice talk about award winning! . I love outdoor concerts and the hills truly rocked out at the Ramada Inn when they played.
You couldn't tell that they had just played at thier other jobs-the energy level was high and the music was 'on'.
You can see them at "Ain't Misbehavin" every Saturday night from 10:30-1:00. If you are hungry they have great pizza too. They have specials on drinks nightly and you just might see a star in the crowd. I have seen some of the Haygoods and Tony Roi goes there quite frequently-even the king knows a good band when he hears it.

My boyfriend and I went to see the Horn Dawgs last year at the “Ain’t Misbehavin” theater at 10:30. He wanted my parents to go along so they did. I wasn’t too sure how they would like the music but they were really into it. They LOVED the horns and enjoyed the voice of Bucky Heard. They danced to all kinds of music and wanted to go back next time they went back to town. My boyfriend knew Bucky and had asked him to play “Unchained Melody”. When they did my boyfriend and I danced and then he got down on one knee and proposed. Bucky stopped the song to hear my answer. What a thrill and what an nice guy to stop the music just to hear my response. I said yes and we danced the night away to the best band in the land led by the best singer of all time. Bucky-you rock and the Horn Dawgs are legendary. Go see this band-even if you have to take a nap between your 2pm and 8pm shows. The place is big enough to move around and they serve food and the best cold beer in town.

My friends and I were driving around looking for something to do after our 8 pm show. We drove past the "Ain't Misbehavin" and the sign read "Dancing". We walked in to a bar type of atmosphere and heard the Horn Dawgs and their incredible lead singer. Bucky Heard rocks out on all kinds of music. Why isn't this young man have a show all his own? He is really talented. As far as the entire experience there just isn't enough adjectives to explain how great the music, food and all the fun dancing is. Just go see for yourself on Saturday nights at 10:30. Bucky will blow you away on vocals..talk about the best singer ever!!! He has my vote for sure.

I went to the "Ain't Misbehavin" theater on Saturday night and from 10:30-1:00 they have this amazing band. They are called the Horn Dawgs and they rock the entire city of Branson! Bucky Heard sings lead all night long and he is just incredible. He has been in Branson for 11 years and has this friendly personality. I spoke to him after the show and learned that he also sings for the "Legends" show as Jake Blues. He gets my vote for "Best Singer".

There is a great group of musicians called the Horn Dawgs that play every Saturday night at "Ain't Misbehavin". They rock the night with songs you can dance to. You can line dance, swing, slow dance, I even saw some kid do a little rap dance on the floor.
For a $3 cover charge you can really have some fun. The lead singer to all this is Bucky Heard. He is truly amazing and a really nice guy that takes request. He also plays Jake Blues at the Legends show is from what other folks are saying about him on this website he totally rocks out there as well.
The band plays from 10:30-1 am and drinks are served until 12:45. Big fun in Branson Mo!
I will for sure see them again. : )

If you are just too excited to sleep on a Saturday night due to the funnel calkes you had at Silver Dollar Cirty or the divine Milky Way mousse cheesecake at the Hard Luck Diner and you just can't sleep then the Horn Dawgs is the band and the place is "Ain't Misbehavin". They let folks in at 9:00 or so and the band plays at 10:30. The cover charge is less than the price of a funnel cake and the fun is priceless. The band is amazing and Bucky Heard is the voice to BE heard! There is plenty of comfortable seats around the horseshoe shaped dance floor and even more seats behind that. The sound is really good and the band can jam. It consists of horns, piano player, bass, drums and electric guitar.
The crowd consisted of a lot of different ages from 21 (of course) to 80. The band plays rock n roll-country-swing- and those mellow love songs too. The band reminded me of the group "Chicago" and Bucky reminded me that there is still awesome talent in the land of funnel cakes. Bucky Rocks! Horn Dawgs are the best!

My husband and I were looking for some Branson fun after hours. We drove past this one theater and the sign read "Dancing tonight-Horn Dawgs 10:30". We thought we would give it a try. The theater is called "Ain't Misbehavin" and it has plenty of room to dance and party with the locals. We saw a few Branson performers on the dance floor and really enjoyed their moves. We enjoyed this band and really loved hearing the lead singer. His name is Bucky Heard. The horn player sang a song that was just too funny and the piano player also sang a nice tune as well. But Bucky can just about outdo anyone in this town when it comes to vocals. Holy smoke can this guy sing and his smile comes across like he is enjoying what he does. The cover charge is $3 and the beer in a bottle is also $3 but they do have specials on mixed drinks as well as food.
From 10:30-1:00 am you can really keep your fun going and this is the place to do it. Call the babysitters and tell them you will be a little late. It was a well deserved fun night out. Bucky rocks and gets my vote for Best Singer.

I saw the Legends on Saturday night and the Blues Brother who played Jake invited everyone out to the "Ain't Misbehavin" club. Come to find out that he is in a band called the Horndawgs and boy are they good. His name is Bucky Heard and he has this 8 piece band that plays a vast variety of songs. His voice is so good and clear and can really sing those notes that are hard to hit. His band has 4 horn players that come from the Mickey Gilley show. They are fun to watch as well as listen to. The drummer plays at Joey Riley's show and is really good too. The piano player has a job at Silver Dollar City and the bass player comes from the 50's show. These musicians work all day and then jam from 10:30-1:00 am every Saturday night. The dance floor is big enough for about a 100 couples and the bartenders are very helpful in what to order. They also have food there as well. I heard the pizza is wonderful and the band looks forward to eating some each week.
I saw on your website that there is a voting poll for best singer and that this Bucky Heard is up for it. I voted for him-he has got to have the best voice in all of Branson.
Go see whatever show you want to in town at 8 (my choice is the Legends) then hop on over to the "Ain't Misbehavin thearer" to hear Bucky and the guys play.

Bucky Heard and the Horndawgs

This is probably the best show I have seen at a bar, ever. This group has a great lead singer in Bucky Heard. His voice is amazing and the variety of songs that they sing is aimed to please crowds of any profile. The dance floor is constantly moving and full to the brim, soon they will have to move to a larger facility because they are collecting quite a following. If you haven't seen them, go go go! -Kristy Marson
