Mr. Banjo Buck Trent is Gene Williams’ guest on the Lucas Oil
sponsored "Gene Williams Country Television Show" in its nationwide
telecast this weekend.

"Buck Trent said ‘Oh, Yeah’ and gave up his day off to be a guest on
my television show. With his famous thumbs up signal and his
spectacular banjo pickin' he is a great guest. Buck has received
many awards and nominations. He has twice been named the Country
Music Association Instrumentalist of the Year. He has been seen on
many televison shows like the ‘Mike Douglas Show,’ ‘Tonight Show,’
‘Nashville Now,’ ‘Porter Wagoner Television Show,’ ‘Roy Clark Show’
and ‘Hee Haw.’ In Branson he is continuing his long running morning
show at Grand Country Music Hall," said Williams who is the creator,
producer and star of the "Gene Williams Country Television Show."
The "Gene Williams Country Television Show" is telecast to more than
20.5 million homes nationwide and taped live before a studio
audience in Branson, Mo. at the Ain’t Misbehavin’ Theatre. It began
in 1963 in Arkansas and is a National Telly Award winner. The "Gene
Williams Show" features celebrity guest stars performing with his
band, the eight-piece Country Junction Band, and in
up-close-and-personal interviews conducted by Williams and his
co-host Katie Lynn. The show with Trent will be televised on
Saturday, Nov. 19, and Sunday, Nov. 20.

The next taping of the "Gene Williams Country Music Television Show"
will be at Ain’t Misbehavin’ at 625 Hwy. 165, on Sunday, Dec. 4, at
2 p.m. Among the scheduled guests are Norma Jean from the "Grand
Ladies of Country Music," Kathy Eckert from "14 Karat Country" and
Blanche Tate, an up-and-coming country singer from Pennington, Ark.
Admission is free to those who wish to be part of the studio
audience for the three half-hour shows. Doors to the theater open at

At the Dec. 4 taping the winner of Williams’ Christmas gift giveaway

in the drawing," said Williams who began his career in the country
music field as a DJ in Memphis on KWAM in 1957 and was named 1961
Grand Ole Opry DJ of the Year. He made two movies about country
music which featured more than 39 Grand Ole Opry stars including Ray
Price, Carl Smith, Jordanaires, Kitty Wells, Little Jimmy Dickens,
Grand Ole Opry Square Dancers and the late Marty Robbins, Webb
Pierce, Ernest Tubb, June Carter, Bill Monroe, Duke of Paducah and
Faron Young.
Williams is an inductee to the Memphis Music Hall of Fame and has
been honored by the Missouri Senate and the State of Arkansas for
his contributions to the tourism industry. He holds a record in
Arkansas of having nine days proclaimed Gene Williams Day by six
governors including three times by former President Bill Clinton and
this year by Gov. Mike Huckabee.
Lynn has received the Branson Entertainment Awards Best Support
Vocalist twice for her work in the "Mickey Gilley Show." She
performs solos each week with the Country Junction Band.
