8-13-06: The Haygoods: not just great performers; but also
amazing people!
This past summer my family and I made our sixth twelve hour trip to
Branson, and man can I tell you, it topped all the rest!
I always enjoy coming to Branson because it is like no other place
in the country, and it is just a great place for family
entertainment! The city was as lively as usual, and the people as
friendly as always, but what put this trip over the top was the
choice in show!
To
tell you the truth, I had never heard of the Haygoods (even after
going to Silver Dollar City twice when they were preforming there)
until a friend recommended them to us and assured us that they were
the best there was in Branson. So, we got tickets for the Saturday
night show the day before we were leaving town and we didn't really
know what to expect.
After seeing Vegas shows and many many shows in Branson, we had
thought that we couldn't ever see a show to top them, but let me
tell you, we were wrong! As we sat in the theater, which is one of
the the most comfortable and accommodating in Branson, and the 6
older boys opened with Thank God I'm a country boy, I knew this
would be a night to remember!
I can definitely say that as the family moved through their journey
through the decades, there was never a moment that I quit smiling,
screaming, or just having fun! They all really put all their heart
into preforming and making the show the best it can be, and you can
really tell that every one of them loves what they are doing each
and every minute of it.
Having been through much in my own life, I know that life is much
too short to not enjoy every second of every day and have fun in
everything you do, and that is probably what impressed me most about
this family. They pride themselves on faith and family and they do
whatever they can to have fun and make sure the audience has fun!
And, a person can tell that they always live their lives to the
fullest, which is really something to admire.
As I left the theater that night with my DVD of the performance in
hand, I really started to think about how great it is that there are
still amazing people in this world such as the Haygoods, who really
know how to make others feel good. I can definitely tell you that I
have never met anyone as inspiring as them.
Micheal was definitely my favorite (if I have to choose; because
they were all phenomenal!) for his unbelievable showmanship and love
for life. When he signed my DVD after the show, he was very kind and
treated me like I was someone he cared about; and I know he and the
rest of the family do this for all their fans. It meant a lot, and
it is really cool that they are still down to earth people like the
rest of us.
It really is tough to put into words what an impact this family and
show had on me and I'm sure the other 2 million people they have
preformed for in 14 years, but if you are someone who is planning on
seeing this show, I can tell you without a doubt that a stay in
Branson would not be complete without having a night of fun with the
Haygoods, and if you see them once, you'll definitely want to see
them again! If you are the critics at Bransoncritic, I really just
want to tell you that this family and show are really the whole
package, and they have persevered for so long and have come so far
to be in the place that they are that no one could deserve an award
more than them. And, Micheal, being one of the most amazing
performers I have ever met, really deserves something to recognize
his own abilities, and I know it would mean so much to him and the
entire family! But, above all, I have to say that they deserve more
than any one of us could ever give them, for not only being great
performers, but also amazing people.
So, thank you everyone in Branson for keeping an all-American place
where families can always have fun, and thank you Haygoods, for
being great people in this world and for making a difference in the
lives of so many. I know I will never forget you guys!

The Haygoods
I saw the Haygood show in May of 2006, and totally loved it! They
are extremely down to earth, and love people! Their entertainment is
professional, but they still know how to play around with the crowd.
Great performance. Very nice people. Would definitely get a season
pass if I lived closer.

The Haygoods Show in Branson is off the hook! Especially to
someone my age. As a teen, and a resident of Branson, I go to the
Haygoods at least once every month. This is my idea of a Friday or
Saturday night out! I love the energy, and I will never be able to
get enough of this amazing family.
When I first heard of the Haygoods, I thought it was like every
other show here in Branson. We were on a school overnight trip, and
we were going to the Haygoods. I was thinking this would not be very
entertaining. But I was definitely wrong. I loved this show, and I
wanted to come back again. I ended up going 6 times the rest of that
year. The Haygoods all have unique personalities, and they know how
to entertain everybody! I have several favorite parts of the show,
but I have 3 specific ones.
They include: The 50's section, the 60's section, and the romance
section. I love Michael's cow poem, and how they make fun of him for
it. It's pretty funny! Another comical part of the show is the
Blue's Brother's section, or also the 80's. Michael is hilarious! I
usually sit in the front row, and it's very comfortable. I have back
trouble, and my back never hurts when I'm enjoying the show.
Sometimes Michael "accidentally" falls off the stage, and he always
lands in the big aisle, and never on me! :) I hope you make the
Haygood's this year's winner, because I always enjoys myself there,
and sometimes I feel liek one of their family members, since I've
been there so many times! I wish them best of luck, and hope they
win!

Timothy, Patrick, Dominic, Shawn, Micheal, Matthew, Catherine,
and Aaron. What can you say about this family? They are talented.
They are one of the most exciting families to watch here in Branson.
Its a great show for any of the generations. Specially the younger
ones. I have never seen so many people in one family have so much
talent and energy.
I honestly think they deserve an award. They are all so nice when
you go up and try and talk to them after the show. I love the "fan
nights" they have every now and then for all the fans. The special
songs they play there are just extremely wonderful! This is a show I
would highly recommend.

The Haygoods are some of the most amazing people I have ever
met! Not only are they phenomenal musicians and performers, they
know what is important in life and are always having fun doing
whatever. A person can tell they are strong in their faith and they
would do just about anything to help a person out. They also pride
themselves on the importance of their family. And it doesn't hurt
that the boys are all so CUTE! Micheal and Dominic are my favorites
for their great showmanship and talent...plus when I talked to them
after the show, they treated me and all the other guests like they
had no place to be and could talk all night! They are so amazing and
the show will blow your socks off...it'll definitely be something
you won't ever forget!

people I have ever met! Not only are they phenomenal preformers and
musicians, they are also great people!
I had not even heard of the family until we were ready to leave for
our family vacation to Branson and man am I glad I didn't miss the
opportunity to meet them!
They pride themselves on the importance of family and faith which is
definately something to respect, because after all, not many people
in this world can say that for themselves any more; and they are so
kind.
When my friends and I went out to meet them after the show, Dominic
and Micheal talked to us as though they had nowhere else to be and
it seemed that they did the same for all the others who came to talk
to them. I know it's something that I won't ever forget!
The show itself blew my socks off and I don't think I quit screaming
the whole time ;) No, really though, the show is the most amazing
thing I've ever seen and the family is so talented! They know how to
preform to all of the audience and they have enough energy to blow
the doors off the theatre! Plus, they are all so cute and funny!
As soon as I got home I borrowed a bunch of tapes and DVD's of
theirs from my friend who recommended the show and let me tell you:
they have always been amazing!
I know I will never forget them and I will definately go back! It
surely should not be missed!

The Haygoods were the best part of my 5 day journey with my jazz
band and show choir in Branson. We opened up for them on Saturday,
not knowing who these boys and Catherine were. By the end of the
night, all we could talk about were the Haygoods and their
performance. It was full of popular tunes that could make up and
shake ur groove thang!! After the performance, the boys came and
talked to our group and we had our pictures taken with them. They
were so nice and it was a fun experience. That is why the Haygoods
are the best show in Branson.

The Haygoods is the MOST AMAAAAZING Show in B-Town! They are so
entertaining and very cute Boys. Catherine does a great job with her
older brothers and they have improved a lot just since last year!
They sing amazing genres,Gospel,Rock n Roll,Country,Pop,Oldies....They
do amazing flips and dancing. Just all around no one can compare to
the great show and family morals of the Haygoods!,and I would go see
their show everyday if I could! Keep up the good work boys!

The haygoods one of the best shows in Branson this season and all
before this one. The Haygoods are some of the most talented people I
have ever met. This family of eight can sing, dance and play over
twenty instruments all in a mere two-hour show.... WOW~!!!!!!
~~~~!!! They put a little bit of everything into their show…from
1940 – 2006 anything you could think of from blues brothers to
modern tap dancing…

It's rare that I actually take the time to see a show in Branson. I
live here and prefer the company I find in the late hours of the
night.
Lately, the Haygoods boys have been performing at clubs in the
evening. Their talent speaks for itself and the nightlife sense lets
them get loose with their instruments.
I often watch rehearsals as the people and how they interact is more
of an interest to me than anything else.
I have a two year old and after taking her to meet the boys she
couldn't stop talking about it. I decided to take her back to see
her first Branson show.
After a cup of Starbucks Coffee downstairs we headed up to the
balcony. A two year old has a short attention span, but the fast
paced movement of the show kept her attention. The Haygoods move
through several decades of music history with high energy antics,
modern break movements in dance combined with traditional Americana
folk dance. For me, the fusion of artistic dance and music styles
was the best part.
In the second set, they performed the Eagles 7 bridges with perfect
harmony.
This is a great show. Any show that can keep the attention of a two
year old is sure to thrill audiences of all ages.

Hey what can I say. These guys are so good. They sing allot of
awesome songs like Johnny B Goode, Seven Bridges Road, Great love
songs, Blues brothers. and many more. They have a New show this year
that is smoken! They do and awesome tap dance that will leave you
amazed! I would recommend this show to everyone! They are a bunch of
sweet young men and girl that loves what they do and it shows. Its a
wonderful show and you would be a fool to go to Branson and not
seeing it!

The show this year is awesome. Michael Haygood lights up the
stage! The whole family is so talented. Their music gets better
every year. The two youngest Haygoods have grown up so much this
year. I would recommend this show to any and all ages. There's
something for everyone. The seating is great. Everyone there is so
nice and helpful. This is the best show of 2006!

Hey Everyone! I Love the Haygoods 2006 show! It is awesome! Dom
is recovered from his shoulder injury! Matt is in the show more and
it is exciting! I just LOVED their show! The laser lights and the
bigger screen just blow me away. Let's not forget Catherine and
Aaron! They are doing good this year! Rocking that mellow sax! Aaron
and Dom are my personal favs! I recommend this show for everyone! I
guarantee that you won't be disappointed!

All the shows in Branson are wonderful but the Haygood’s stand
out in the crowd with amazing acrobatic feats, awesome laser
lighting, and exquisite instrumental and vocal skills. Not only is
the show up-beat and entertaining but they also include romantic
slow songs for all of the “love birds” in the audience.
Believe me when I say that they can do it all! They even manage to
keep my four year old cousin rooted to her seat throughout the
entire show! Timothy, Patrick, Dominic, Shawn, Michael, Matthew,
Catherine, and Aaron are the kindest and most talented performers
you will meet in Branson!

I think that the Haygood show is the most amaaaaazing show that
Branson has ever seen! They are so good in everything. They play so
many instruments, sing so many genres, and can do flips off of
trampolines, the wall, and the ground! I have seen the show many
times, and even bought a pass to go see it as much as I want! I have
known the boys for many years and they are amazing young men. They
are really energetic and entertaining and you can see they really
enjoy what they do every night on that stage! I think that they top
all the other shows in Branson by far! I love this show and it has
grown so much in the years they have been on 76!You should go and
see this show for sure!

This years show date was Friday, November 25, 2005
Seeing the Haygoods is by far mine and my children's (ages 11 and
6)favorite thing to do in Branson. Of all of the shows we have
watched theirs is the most entertaining. When we were planning this
years trip to Branson the only thing that my children requested to
do is go to the show. We purchased their teddy bears and got them
autographed. This was very exciting for my children. The energy this
group has in unbelievable. I highly recommend to everyone that asks
me what to do in Branson to go and see the Haygoods. Their show will
always be on our list of things to do in Branson.
