Cedric Benoit
This Louisiana born entertainer is
cooking up some red hot reviews in Branson, Missouri, the live
entertainment capital of the world.
Cajun
born from Southwest Louisiana, Cedric Benoit has spent the past 19
years entertaining in Branson, Missouri. First introduced at the age
of four to the music of Hank Williams. His country roots were firmly
planted in place. Cedric got his first Cajun Squeezebox at the age
of twelve. As a teenager, Cedric then got into the Southern Rock
era. To top off all of these influences, Cedric then listened
continuously to the Ray Charles Album "Ray's Mood's."
With all this said, here is the equation: Hank
Williams + Cajun/Zydeco music + Southern Rock + Ray Charles = Cedric
Benoit. Cedric Benoit grew up in Kaplan, Louisiana. This part of
Acadiana (Cajun Country) consists of rice fields and mills,
alligator farms, a huge crawfish industry and a variety of French
speaking people with a culture as unique as any you will ever find.
Cedric's accomplishments over the past years include; Living Legend
Award - Kaplan, LA (2004), Ozark Branson Awards (Entertainer of the
Year Specialty Instrumentalist), Ozark Branson Awards (Entertainer
of the Year Short Program) (2003), Louisiana Hall of Fame (Youngest
memeber ever inducted.) (2001), Stacey Gravatt Award (Silver Dollar
