Mickey Gilley Show 

Saturday night we went to see Mickey Gilley. We were about to go inside then we spotted Jim Owen parking his cute little car, I have no clue what kind it is. Anyway we visited with him a little bit and had our pictures made with him. Then while we were talking to him someone called him, it was Carol Lawrence!! She was trying to get to MG's show. That was a treat in it's self for me. She got there, then silly me got "star struck". All I could think about was she was Maria in West Side Story. I got her autograph and had my picture made with her an Jim. I later apologized for getting the googaga's, LOL!

She said that was fine. I told her she was probably used to people getting that way around her, but maybe not as silly as me! She just laughed about it. She seems like a very nice person. Now for MG's show, he puts on one great show. Joey has my jaws sore from laughing so much. While Mickey was singing "Stand by Me" my friend and I went and stood up in front of him and had our picture made with him. Then my other friend went and stood up and we took her picture. While they were doing the videoing during intermission, they put the little dancing baby in front of us, so we tried to "pinch" it's little bootie. The then put up a sign that said "Do not touch the baby" or something like that. We had to get the video then! After MG's show we went and ate at Gilleys Cafe, VERY GOOD!!

Sunday we went and had breakfast at Krispy Kreme, YUMMY!! Then we went and did some more shopping. We were trying to get some Christmas shopping done or at least get started.

I attended the Mickey Gilley show in June of this year. It was great as usual. Mickey is a wonderful entertainer, and Joey Riley is a riot. Katie Lynn and Kaci Bays are also great singers, and a nice addition to the show. The band is super! I have attended this show every year since 1990 (my first trip to Branson), and it is always a must see on my list. I really miss the autograph sessions after the show. It was always nice to have my picture made with Mickey. He always thanked you for coming to the show. I think he is a very nice person. The theater is very nice. I like the larger seats; plenty of legroom between the rows. They also have a very nice gift shop, with very nice products. If any of you have a chance, I recommend that you see this show on your next trip to Branson.

I have seen this show 8 or 9 times, and will see it this year. Mickey Gilley is a wonderful performer, and never too busy to talk to the fans, sign autographs, etc. He's just the consummate entertainer. Need more like him in Branson. Joey Riley--well, what can I say? He is so funny, and so talented! The two, together make for one of the best shows in Branson!

Want a good laugh and a great show all in one? Go see The Mickey Gilley Show. My wife and I have seen this show every time we go to Branson and it just keeps getting better. Mickey not only is a great performer, he also is a very nice person which is one of the reasons I enjoy going to his show; and then there is Joey Riley...what a guy!! He keeps you laughing the whole show and I would recommend this show to everyone from young to old. The theater and staff are one of the best in Branson.
