Neil Goldberg's Cirque
C. Z. Yes! Yes! Yes! A breath of fresh air and cool drink of water on a hot day! These were some of the thoughts I had while watching performance of Cirque! I even called my wife at intermission to tell her how good it was and I had only seen the first act! This is something that Branson has needed for a long time. Nothing against the other shows, they still serve their purpose, but this is the "different" show that Branson needs! A giant dramatic full-scale production that we haven't seen since "The Promise" left town. The costumes, sets, props, lighting and sound were wonderful; all working together with a cast from all over the world to create a jungle theme show for all ages. Once you walk into the theater you feel an energy and the anticipation that something great is about to happen. And does it ever! All the cirque acts were done to perfection. The narrator who sang throughout the show did so with a passion and voice that was powerful. The comedy kept me (and my son) laughing throughout, also. Once the show was over you couldn’t get through the lobby because everyone wanted to see the cast and take pictures. I could go on forever and tell you everything about the show but you need to see it for yourself. It’s a charge for the senses, and eye candy for the soul. Don’t miss it! F. R. P. For those who think Branson is just "cornball" hillbilly comedians and country music, Cirque at the Remington Theater will dispel that erroneous belief. The show is an amazing parade of talented "circus" performers, "strong men," aerialists, jugglers, trapeze artists, pantomimes, magicians, etc. The music is appropriate for the acts; the set and costumes are stupendous. It's a two-hour show you can bring your children to—or your grandmother or maiden aunt—without embarrassment. I live in Branson, and I have a rather blasé attitude toward most shows. It takes a lot to impress me, but this is one I'd recommend to visiting relatives and friends; and even go with them to see it again. R. J. D.
