Recently I was able to view two to three performances a day during
the week of my visit to Branson. I had an idea of what to see, since
I talked to acquaintances who had spent time there in the past.
Consequently, I feel I was already directed to the top shows
available in Branson. Having said that, my very favorite show was,
by far, the Lowe Family Show.It was professional, entertaining,
and one I hope to see again someday. It was obvious that the Lowes
have undergone the years and years of training and practice
necessary to produce such a high quality production. Not only are
they proficient, whether it be in musicianship, dancing, singing,
stage presence or clever routines, the Lowes excell to such an
extent, they should be in Hollywood, Las Vegas, or even have their
own TV show! Their show is wholesome with modest, gorgeous costumes
and lively, gifted performers who perform classics, bluegrass,
Broadway tunes, big band, and other eclectic arrangements which
showcase
their abilities and humor.
The youthful enthusiasm of the beautiful sisters, handsome brother
Doug, (What can't they play, dance, or do?), and the talented parents
will have you wondering how several hours of entertainment can fly by so
quickly. This fast paced show with its variety of instruments, music,
and commentary will appeal to children and all generations. The Welk
Theater, where the family performs, is spacious, welcoming, and allows
the audience maximum comfort. Be sure to attend and don't forget to meet
the Lowes in the lobby after the performance. They are genuine and love
to interact with you!

I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS SHOW IN MY LIFE! It is an
unbelievable 2 hours. We can't wait to see it again on our next trip to
Branson. These kids go from instrument to instrument, sing beautifully
and their dancing is unmatched by anyone else in Branson. The mother is
wonderful with the audience and sings beautifully and the father blows a
really mean horn. If you haven't seen this show, you need to experience
it. If you have kids, take them.
After begging my son to take violin lessons, he now wants to start
after seeing this show. The costumes are gorgeous, whoever choreographs
this show should get an award and the
patriotic segment leaves you breathless. No, I am not related to this
family; just very fortunate to have stayed at The Welk Resort and found
out about this show when we checked in. Please see it when you are in
Branson. You owe it to yourself to check it out.

Caught your show last Tuesday and it was great. In my opinion (for what
it is worth) you should be the evening headliner. Your show had the
variety
that the evening show lacked. You can only watch people (or parts of
people) disappear so many times. The added touch of Robert saying good
morning to everyone the next morning at breakfast was great. Good luck.
If you ever come up this way let me know. Yours is one of the few shows
that I would like to see more than once.

My Mother and I thoroughly enjoyed the 10:00 a.m. performance of the
Lowe Family on Saturday May 21. We were staying at the Welk Resort,
which made it very easy to buy tickets and attend the Lowe Family show.
In a word…”WOW.” Mom and I kept saying to each other “is there anything
these
wonderful artists CANNOT do?”
They were ALL so very talented. Besides playing multiple instruments
(beautifully), they ALL sang very well and danced beautifully. But that
is
not all! The sets were so polished and pretty and the costumes!! They
changed several times and the costumes were just gorgeous! They also
made
use of some great, huge TV screens to add to the performance.
Also they interacted with the audience a great deal. The Mother of
the family even took the time to honor the anniversaries of several in
the audience, as well as birthdays and even mentioned some visiting
groups by name. These performers truly appreciate their fans and their
audience.
Even the sound technician is a family member! The variety of dancing was
just astonishing. As another reviewer said, they did ballroom dancing,
jitterbug and lots of Irish dancing of the ‘Riverdance’ style. What was
also amazing was that the young and pretty 16 year old daughter did a
ton of the dancing and even sort of emceed many parts of the
performance. This show is a MUST SEE when visiting Branson!

THE LOWE FAMILY - CELEBRATING THE GIFT OF MUSIC
Of all
the shows I saw for the first time during my trip last week, that was
the one I was most impressed with. I went to the show having no idea
of what to expect and was won over by every second of it.
The numerous members of this beautiful close-knit family master not
only an astounding number of instruments (violin, piano, trumpet,
percussion instruments etc.), but are also experts on vocals and
dancing. To top it off, all have warm and winning personalities which
create a very special atmosphere.
I was astonished by the
variety of it all. From the classics to Bluegrass, from ballroom dancing
to old TV commercials, from excerpts from Broadway musicals to Big
Band Swing and heartwarming hymns and patriotic salutes. This is also
the rare show that works at conveying a feeling of unity across the
world, paying tribute to several cultures and countries around the
world. I thought that was an especially nice touch.
Their instrumental artistry is so polished and overwhelming that it
leaves most people speechless. The flow of action is non-stop; nothing
is predictable. And the most heartfelt moral values transpire through it
all.
So it's a very cheerful and uplifting experience; one that truly
makes people appreciate the gift of music and how it enhances our lives.
Be sure you stay long enough to meet this lovely family after the show -
it was a real honor and privilege for me to do so!!!!

Since we only had two days in Branson, we wanted to try to fit in a
10AM show -- and are we glad we did!! Our hotel had some brochures
about the Lowes, which prompted us to select their show. It is
outstanding!! Another family that has just tons of talent -- every
one of them sings, plays multiple instruments -- and VERY WELL --
and dances up a storm.
They start the show by mingling with
the audience (try to get an aisle seat), and then move right into a
very varied show -- lots of Broadway tunes, great gospel, some
beautiful classical and toe-tapping country. The lone young man is
an amazing pianist. Their clogging and Irish jigs were terrific, and
their costumes were beautiful. They have a very moving patriotic set
to honor our veterans and to end the show.
If you have a
member of your party who isn't into "country" that much, this is a
very good alternative, as it has some of everything.
The Welk Theatre is lovely and there are lots of old photos and
musical instruments to look at while waiting for the show to start.
They have very large, clean restrooms on both sides of the
auditorium and it might be there are actually enough that the women
can all get through the line during intermission!!
This was
one show that I bought the tape of to enjoy again and again, and
it's definitely on my list to see the next time I have an
opportunity to visit Branson.
