Country Tonite Show
R. M. Country Tonite has been one of my favorites for many years now. I have always felt that they have had a lot of great talent in their show. They seem to have something for everybody even the kids. They always have youth performers that they are proud of and kids seem to really enjoy seeing one named Johnny Lonestar and he is wonderful. He performs rope tricks, gun twirling and bull whipping. That is always a fun part of the show. They have always had wonderful lighting and smoke effects. I always felt they have always had an excellent blend of Classic Country and New Country. Sometimes I feel their performers are better than what you hear on the radio. Often times I would hear a song on the radio and not like it at all. But then I would go to Country Tonite, hear the same song and just down right love it! Country Tonite knows how to put a show together with music so great, it will send chills down your spine. 2003 was the only year Country Tonite disappointed me. The reason why is because they changed their format. Their new format just did not fit the Country Tonite style. But on the good side, Country Tonite did answer the request to return to the old format. I recently saw the 2004 show. This year they have a new theater, several new performers as well as some of the ones who have been on the show for many years. This year they have all the clogging, dancing, comedy, Old and New country and all the talent that they need. It is well worth the ticket price and you can even buy a VHS tape or DVD of the show you saw. This year they sent chills down my spine just as they have for many years now. One thing I like about their new theater is the parking; parking is great. You don't to walk up as big of a hill as you do at a lot of theaters. The restrooms have plenty of room; they are very clean. The theater staff is very friendly. The seats are pretty comfortable. The drinks at the concession stand are more reasonable than they have been in years past. Only a $1.50. If you like Old and New Country, rope tricks, comedy, great dancing, clogging, and a whole lot of talent, then this show is for you. It maybe a smaller show than it was a few years ago, but they still have a large variety in their show. Go check it out; you will be glad you did. You may even do like my wife and I and make it a tradition to go every year.
